TechMatrix
The American Institutes for Research (AIR) has engaged WebFirst to redevelop the techmatrix.org website under a Department of Education Grant. The TechMatrix is a powerful tool for finding assistive and learning technology products for students with special needs. The project is an initiative of the National Center for Technology Innovation (NCTI) and the Center for Implementing Technology in Education (CITE). With many additional products and research citations, it is greatly expanded and easier to use. With the system developed by WebFirst, users can now:
- Find hundreds of products and tools with research to assist students with special needs.
- Customize and share search results.
- Learn what questions to ask and how to make informed decisions in the Consumer Guides for School Administrators and Ed Tech Vendors.
- Review a report on writing technologies for students with special needs from Illinois State University’s Special Education Assistive Technology Center (SEAT).
- Send matrices to a friend, add a bookmark, and find related research.
