WebFirst currently supports the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), a federal agency dedicated to promoting stable, constructive government labor relations. The FLRA's goal: to enhance their agency website to make it easier for visitors to find information and for employees to quickly and easily post information to their site.
The WebFirst team recently redesigned the entire the FLRA website - using our UX/UI process to create an easy to navigate website. By utilizing Drupal Content Management System, we were able to incorporate and enhance their entire operational website - including a training calendar and content workflow for site administrators.
Our team configured and customized Drupal to help the FLRA staff easily upload, edit, and delete new authority decisions or topics. Using combination of custom scripts and manual review, we migrated over 8,000 decisions to populate the initial database. With a custom implementation of Apache Solr, we created an interface where users can search by Case Number, Arbiter, and Issuance Date. What’s more, our development team implemented a customized, streamlined workflow that lets FLRA staff quickly upload information, including PDF documents. The web version of the decisions database is W3C and Section 508 compliant.
WebFirst currently provides maintenance and support for the website, internal administrator and flra.gov server, including all of the content management components. WebFirst also provides 24x7 help desk support on issues such as:
“WebFirst’s work for my agency has truly been exceptional. Simply stated, they are one of the best vendors I have worked with. With their help, the FLRA launched the first full open source web framework for a Federal agency. They helped set and adjusted to a rapid deployment time of less than three months from concept to launch. We were extremely satisfied with WebFirst’s quality, professionalism and expertise. I would highly recommend them for Content Management implementations and other web projects.”
