Business Analyst (contract) 

WebFirst is looking for a strong Business Analyst with web / mobile experience to work with our federal and private sector clients. This position will be responsible for effectively defining requirements for validation by stakeholders and for execution by the production team. 

You will be working with our service desk, development, design, and CX/UX teams to help elicit, understand, and manage expectations and requirements for enterprise web-based content management systems and mobile app builds. You will also be generating user stories and success criteria based on strategic plans for large–scale new web and mobile app builds, operations & maintenance projects, and site content migration projects.   

Location: 100% remote or Rockville, MD  

Core Qualifications:  

  • Strong proficiency in full Business Analysis skills (analysis, communication, documentation, testing, process modeling)  

  • Familiarity with QA process including developing test plans, utilizing testing tools, functional & regression testing, and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT)  

  • Strong communications skills  

  • Ability to develop project documentation (requirements, user stories, use cases) for web / CMS projects  

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment  

  • Ability to manage time between multiple projects simultaneously  

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented eye for quality  

  • Experience with Agile processes/methodologies  

  • Ability to develop user guidance documentation and conduct training 

Additional Qualifications / Plusses  

  • Experience working across all phases of web content management development – user stories/requirements, UX/UI & web design, application development, QA/testing, and deployment   

  • Experience working with teams that deliver operations & maintenace, web migrations, and/or full lifecycle site builds in content management systems 

  • Drupal 7, 8, 9 experience is preferred, or experience working with other platforms such as WordPress, Magento, Kentico, etc. 

  • Front-end analyst experience (reviewing & analyzing wireframes and creative mock-ups, sitemaps, taxonomy, content audits)  

  • Working knowledge of web accessibility best practices and methodologies (Section 508, WCAG, W3C)  

  • Experience in content strategy (e.g., ROT analyses, content audits, taxonomy development)  

  • Experience with website content migration and web content management implementation projects  

  • Experience in performing both manual and automated testing on systems throughout the lifecycle of a project 

  • Preferred experience with JIRA, Adobe Suite, MS Office, MS Teams, or comparable.
