WebFirst is seeking a content strategist to work with our federal agency partners, which are some of the most well-respected names in health, the environment and agriculture.   Federal agencies require assistance with their digital experiences and services – to improve design with the public’s needs and priorities in mind. To address this need, a government-wide effort is underway to redesign digital channels and deliver a simple and seamless customer journey on par with leading consumer experiences.

As the content strategist, you’ll collaborate with our client, a cabinet-level department, to establish and integrate a content experience framework for their digital properties that meets this commitment.

You should be a well-rounded writer with the skill to simplify complex laws, policies and processes into clear, concise, and friendly language to help citizens feel informed and confident about government policy and the benefits and services available to them. You’ll be both a strategist and a tactician, thinking big picture while executing detail. Because this is an initial step, you’ll need to value incremental successes and think creatively to address organizational and technical limitations.

Integrating customer-centered content design and processes into the organization will require a cultural shift, and you’ll play a key role in articulating, educating and demonstrating the benefits for both citizens and the organization. To succeed, you’ll need confidence in your strategic plan and content decisions with management, legal, subject matter experts and other stakeholders. At the same time, your ability to negotiate with stakeholders with diplomacy and an open mind will build credibility, trust and support in this effort throughout the organization.
