WebFirst is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Lead to work with our federal government partners, which are some of the most well-respected names in health and agriculture.

We have two possible positions working on a large multi-team effort. One position is facilitating a User Experience / Customer Experience team on operational support efforts in the areas of content support, research and usability testing. The other is to facilitate an application development team supporting a service desk.
The individuals best suited to these positions will be strong communicators who understand how to problem solve in a dynamic environment. They will be team builders who can coordinate the efforts of developers, UX/CX specialists and Business Analysts, while providing reporting up to the Program Manager. An understanding of Drupal and experience working with the government is a plus.
Responsibilities for Project Manager/Scrum Lead

Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and best scrum practices using Jira to manage the work.

Lead all scrum ceremonies – including demos, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retros Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization

Hold teams accountable for timely delivery of sprint commitments

Support the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction

Mitigate distractions and roadblocks that impede team’s progress

Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework

Assist the product owner in refinement and maintenance of product backlog through scheduling meetings, writing user stories, and assist in establishing priority.

Requirements for Project Manager/Scrum Lead

3+ years of relevant experience as Project Manager and/or Scrum Lead

Deep understanding of Agile development process and methodology

Strong experience in web projects

Experience with CMS projects

Strong stakeholder/client management strategy

Strong collaboration and team leadership

Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills

Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms

Ability to analyze and resolve conflict

Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum

Must be detail-oriented and organized with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while setting priorities appropriately across teams.

Prior Scrum Master certification a plus
Preferred Experience

Federal, State, or Education industry experience

Basic understanding of programming languages

Experience with Drupal

Understanding of Customer Experience and Content Strategy (for the operational and content support position)
